When Erin opened the paper she never expected to see her obituary staring back at her. Is this some idea of a cosmic joke? She’s especially unsettled when the deceased woman, who happens to share her name and birthday, starts lecturing her in her dreams. Erin knows she needs to take a few chances, but she doesn’t know how to do the one thing she’s avoided for months… seduce the girl next door. Lucky for her, fate is about to step in.
(4 Angels!) This was a fun little romp from the talented Jade Buchanan. I’ve been a fan for a long time, and Dreaming of Harmony didn’t fail to please. I can completely understand how Erin felt; I too would be completely freaked out if I opened a paper to read the obituaries and found my own name staring back at me. But that’s just the impetus she needs to rethink the path her life has taken. Not much is given about Harmony other than her physical description but that’s fine. She is only there to emphasize the different choices Erin has to make in her life. She can choose the path of harmony with Harmony or be forever bereft and alone if she takes the other path. There was a sensual scene, and it was well written, as is always the case with Ms. Buchanan. It enhanced rather than detracted from the story and as is the case with all dreams, it allowed Erin to be freer than she would have been awake. Dreaming of Harmony just goes to show that love has no boundaries when it comes to race or gender.

Though fans of lesbian eroticism will delight in this quick story, the romance of it will appeal to many. Erin is rather typical in the sense she’s a bit down on herself which accounts for her not acting on her feelings for Harmony and needing fate to step in, though she is a likable character nonetheless. I rather wish we had learned more of Harmony before the story got down to the nitty-gritty, but other then that Jade Buchanan has crafted a well written story that flows nicely and has the interesting addition of the post obit Erin May who has quite the feisty personality.

Harmony straightened, turning to reveal a pale pink camisole under her prim pinstriped suit jacket. Her skirt settled, coming to rest just above her knee. Four inch black heels completed the picture, little bows adorning the toes. That shouldn’t turn her on. Christ, what was wrong with her that little bows could turn her on?
Just take their jobs. Right now, Harmony was on her way to a corner office downtown. She’d sit behind her cushy desk, and delegate all day. Nothing wrong with that but it was light years away from what
