I agree! I've judged a number of contests and I don't have to personally like everything that I judge. I think I'm professional enough to take my personal preferences or beliefs out of it and judge a book on its own merits. And if I think I can't, then it's up to me to find a judge that will. There's an entire chapter of writers of LGBT romances who would be willing to step in and volunteer. Thanks, Sable. I agree! I find it inappropriate and offensive. I'm uncomfortable with slut heroines...but they are there in the industry and I have to read and publish them...so I leave personal likes out and think about what sells...duh. What? Next no werewolf sex and no menage...there goes my money too. It wasn't too long ago that ANYONE writing ANY KIND of romance was considered a slut.
